Since Barack Obama took over as the President of the United States, U.S.-China relations have gone through some important changes. Obama treasures China more and is more willing to establish a cooperative political relationship with the rising power. However, the bilateral relationship suffered some setbacks in the early 2010. In this lecture, Dr. Bo Zhiyue will evaluate U.S.-China relations under the Obama administration in historical and theoretical terms, analyze sources of recent frictions, and project their future development.
