“It's a great honor for me to be given a China Daily Campus News Award again. And I would like to express my sincere thanks to my supervisor Dr. Edgar Yuen for his guidance in accomplishing my Project. I hope my feature article ‘To Have or Not to Have Another Baby — that is the question for Guangzhou families’ can draw attention to the dilemma of Chinese population growth.”

“I am honored to get the award from China Daily. As Dr. Vincent Lam said, finding contradiction is significant in news writing. Thus, I attempted to directly expose the biggest conflict within my story in headline. Moreover, to show human interest is another key, which displays our temperature. Thanks all.”

“I am very excited and surprised to receive two awards for business report and page design. I have always believed that writing news requires being truthful and pragmatic. Even if it is a campus newspaper, I insist on on-the-spot interviews, carefully observe the society, and find points worth paying attention to. I am fortunate to be guided by Dr. Vincent, which has greatly improved my insight into the choice of news perspectives. Also, I am grateful to Dr. Edgar for his guidance on my writing skills. Thank you to the team members who accompanied me along the way.”

“My feature article ‘Raise the Children of the Stars Together’ focuses on employment and social acceptance issues of autistic young adults. I hope my work can let more people learn about the lives of autistic patients and their family members and help the patients to enter society. And thanks very much for the help from my supervisor Vincent Lam and other teachers!”

“It was a great privilege for me to get the prize from China Daily. My news report focuses on the alternative methods to buy and sell crypto currency in Mainland China under the strict prohibition. As the crypto and blockchain technology has gradually become interdisciplinary hotspots in science, technology and economy, I hope to raise the public awareness about the issue between technology and politics through my report. And I would like to sincerely thank my supervisor Dr. Vincent Lam, and my co-reviewer Dr. Yiwei Li for their invaluable guidance. Also the interviewees in my report, as well as the division. Thank you all.”
