Dr. James I. McDougall is an Associate Professor of American Studies from the Center for International Studies of Shantou University. He is engaged in the scholarly study of literary cultures and has been conducting research on diverse fields such as American Studies, Visual Culture and Cultural Studies, World Literature, Global Studies, Modernism and Post Modernism, Composition and Rhetoric, Poetry and Poetics. His articles have appeared in several prestigious journals, and he has published a number of books on the subjects.
