GIR students win bronze at international relations forum

On 10 December, 14 students from the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Government and International Relations (GIR) programme joined the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Universities International Relations Forum and mock Model United Nations for the third time. They took part in debates on current issues regarding international security, with particular regard to nuclear governance.

Prof Charles Wu led the 14 students to the International Relations Forum

Led by GIR Assistant Professor, Dr Charles Wu Chong-Han, the GIR team competed with teams of mainly graduate students from other prestigious regional universities and managed to win the Bronze Award. In addition, Year 2 GIR student, Ms Wang Xun, received the “Best News Agency Award”.

This year’s edition of the Forum saw the overall participation of more than 100 students from seven different universities from Guangdong, Macao and Hong Kong.
