The activity effectively bridged the visitors and artworks, increased the audience's cultural engagement, and presented a more multi-layered exhibition experience. As BNBU's first off-campus collaboration with an museums, the initiative received high praise from the partners and positive feedback from the audience, generating a strong public response.
Using particularly designed postcard templates, paired with exclusive exhibition hall filter cards and art stickers, the event allowed visitors to create their own collaged memory of the exhibition. This immersive and interactive experiencing manner opened a window into the folk culture of northern Shaanxi embedded in the paintings. Visitors' self-created postcards were collected and will be featured as new exhibits in the follow-up exhibition. These works carry the public's authentic reflections on art, transcending the constraints of time, allowing audiences to recall the resilience and vitality of culture while calling for greater attention to the richness of traditional Chinese culture.
Dr. Jianing Chen of CCGC, DCOM, FHSS attended the opening ceremony and participated in the event with museum leaders and artists from various fields, and engaged in in-depth exchange. The museum leaders spoke highly of the students' professional work and sincerely acknowledged Dr. Chen's guidance. They expressed their hope for further cooperation with BNBU in the future.
This event marked a milestone in the "Traditional Culture Communication in the GBA", Sub-project of FHSS’s Guangdong Provincial “RMS” project. Special thanks also go to Guyuan Art Museum for her full support in aspects ranging from material coordination and venue setup to promotional activities.
Since opening on April 30, the exhibition has received enthusiastic feedback. The event will continue through May 14. All BNBU students and staff are cordially invited to visit the Zhuhai Guyuan Art Museum and experience the unique charm of the fusion of art and culture.
