The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS) programme is designed to address one of the most pressing needs in China's higher education sector today: preparing students to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global job market. The ELLS programme provides students with a strong foundation in English studies, while offering the opportunity to specialize in one of three concentrations: Professional Communication, Literary Studies, or English Language Teaching.

By combining these specializations with state-of-the-art writing labs, students receive cutting-edge training, equipping them for a wide range of fast-growing fields—in areas such as publishing studies, arts administration, the creative industries, and teaching English, whether in schools or to specialized groups such as airline pilots and air traffic controllers.
