The Institute of Cross-cultural Studies and Project 23YJCZH186 co-sponsored this invited talk by Mr. Jia Zhang who drew on his experience as a researcher, translator, and trainer to explore common perceptions or misconceptions of machine translation (MT) among translation students. He stressed that by identifying and addressing these knowledge gaps, the next generation of translators can better equip themselves with the necessary skills to navigate MT complexities.
