The Fourth International Conference on Discourse Studies (第四届话语研究前沿国际会议) was held at Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai in December. The conference was attended by many academics interested in the field. Dr. Wu Xiaoping organized an invited panel on discourse studies and chaired the conference closing ceremony
