Journalists Ms. Xiaoping CHEN and Mr. Ran AN were invited to Zhuhai to present a lecture sharing on Chinese investigative journalism to the students of UIC on 10 March 2023. They prepared some classic cases of domestic investigative journalism. Ms. CHEN is an experienced media practitioner who graduated from the Department of Journalism of Jinan University, majoring in International Journalism and Communication. She has worked for Guangzhou Daily and Hainan Daily and has 30 years of media experience. She joined China Newsweek in 2002 and headed the editorial department of the editorial business, witnessing and experiencing the process of marketization of Chinese media. Mr. AN is also an experienced media practitioner. He graduated from Peking University. He was the editor-in-chief of China Newsweek and the editor-in-chief of Medical World Media. The two journalists shared the case studies in detail with their personal experiences in journalism and answered students’ questions. The lecture covered many excellent news reports including China Newsweek and People, and was very well received by the students.
