Language Proficiency Requirements 

Applicants whose first degree is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should fulfill the minimum English proficiency requirement of CET4/6 score 430 or TOEFL score 65 or IELTS (Academic) score 5.5.

 Supporting documents for application 

• One copy of all official transcripts and degree certificates

• One copy of official English test score (CET4/6 or TOEFL or IELTS); TOEFL iBT Home Edition, IELTS Indicator and Duolingo are not acceptable.
  

• Two confidential recommendation forms or reference letters from people familiar with the applicant’s academic performance and/or professional work (referees must be able to speak of the applicant’s ability to undertake academic work at an advanced level)

• A 500-word personal statement in Chinese or English outlining their academic interests and objectives

• Personal particulars: a copy of passport OR identity document issued by the applicant's home country
  

• Any other supporting documents (publication, awards, etc.)
