Students receive FYP Awards 2021

    The grand opening of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) Exhibition of Student Achievements 2021 for Best Final Year Projects (FYPs) and Award-Winning Projects was held on May 18, 2021. This year, eight senior GIR students, Shi Zhouming, Jiang Yuhanyue, Li Yiying, Guo Jingyu, Zhang When, Gong Zekai, Zhao Zinuo, and Wang Haochen won  FYP Awards and presented their projects at the exhibition.  

    Associate Professor and Director of the Government and International Relations (GIR) and the Globalisation and Development (GAD) Programmes, Dr. Edoardo Monaco congratulated awardees on stage and proudly presented them with their certificates.

    Students’ projects were timely, relevant and highly diverse, as they covered a wide array of topics such as: 

    • Greenhouse gas emissions and “carbon tax”;

    • Nile River water management;

    • Ghanaian cacao industry;

    • Multidimensional poverty;

    • Global supply chains;

    • Post-pandemic world order;

    • “Smart city” initiatives in Zhuhai;

    • Women’s participation in the Japanese economy.
