GAD/GIR Students honored at FYP Awards 2022 Exhibition

    The Division of Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) Exhibition of Student Achievements 2022 for Best Final Year Projects (FYPs) and Award-Winning Projects was held on May 18, 2022. Five senior GIR students - Ms. Guo Lingxiang, Ms. Wang Yuejiao, Ms. Wei Ruoyan, Ms. Qin Siyao, and Ms. Zhong Yuyi who excelled in their respective projects - received the FYP Awards and presented posters of their work at the exhibition.  


    Ms. Wei Ruoyan was selected also as the outstanding student representative to give a speech at the opening ceremony. She shared her experience in conducting research projects of particular socio-economic relevance and expressed appreciation for the supervisor and the programme faculty as a whole for inspiring and assissting her throughout. Associate Professor and Director of the Globalisation and Development (GAD) and Government and International Relations (GIR) Programmes, Dr. Edoardo Monaco congratulated awardees on stage and proudly presented them with their certificates.



    Students’ projects were highly diverse and timely, covering a wide range of topics such as:

    · China's outward direct investment in ASEAN;

    · Governments and multinational corporations’ interaction during the COVID-19 pandemic;

    · EU conditionality in the Western Balkans;

    · Poverty alleviation in ethnic minority area;

    · EU anti-dumping measures and the WTO system.

    The GAD/GIR Programme warmly congratulates all of its students for their remarkable achievements!
