A field Trip to the Greater Bay Area was organized to visit enterprises and explore smart manufacturing in the Greater Bay Area

    From November 1 to November 3, students enrolled in the course “International Trade, Globalization and China’s Belt and Road Initiative” participated in a three-day field trip to visit local enterprises in Gaolangang, Shunde, Guangzhou and Zhaoqiang, to explore smart manufacturing, international trade and financial services in the Greater Bay Area.


    Led by Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, GAD Programme’s Professor Simon Xiaobin Zhao, and assisted by GAD Assistant Instructor Ms. Mingo Xia, a total of 25 students joined the trip. They visited companies specializing in household appliances, semi-conductor chips, smart home appliances, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and robot manufacturing, and had an opportunity to integrate first-hand experience with theories taught in class.
