During the four-year study in IJ, which is full of love and knowledge, my deepest impression is “dare to think”. In the past four years, one of my most satisfying reports was an exploration into the current situation and causes of “the over-commercialization of Zhuhai Yuanming Palace”. Such a controversial, and perhaps even slightly dangerous topic sparked my passion for business journalism. Journalists should not only pay attention to current events, but also the parties and industries concerned. The news topic selection and the investigation starting from scratch were so charming and interesting to me. I suppose, this is why we IJers are always willing to “crack the tough nut”. That is, based on a news topic, to uncover the meaning of existence of relevant industries and figures, to insight into the complex interest relations and even entanglements, and to grasp the possible trend of the future world. Maybe I am not a “pure” media person compared to most of my peer students, but my growth has mainly come from the attitude and dimension of divergent thinking and in-depth analysis.
I hope that we all could be “flexible”: flexible in thinking, flexible in action, and most importantly, flexible in choice. My dear friends, have a clear focus on your self-orientation and find your genuine passion! Youth does not set limits, but chase forward!
