    IJ-MCOM FYP Sharing Panel of 2020-2021 Academic Year



    On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 28, the IJ-MCOM FYP Sharing Panel of 2020-2021 Academic Year was held in the T5-105 lecture hall. The IJ-MCOM Academic Society invited outstanding International Journalism graduates, Ms. Zhang Yihang, Mr. Lu Jingzhou, Ms. Huang Xiaotong, Ms. Tuo Keren, as guest speakers. Program Director Dr. Jesse Hearns-Branaman was invited as the host of the round table discussion.




    For the first time, the IJ-MCOM Academic Society adopted the mode of guest round table discussion with live audience interaction, which provided opportunities for the audience to engage actively. During the event, guest speakers shared the design process of their graduation projects, the difficulties encountered in the process of research and exploration, and how they communicated with their academic supervisors. Additionally, they also gave advice to junior students about how to find their academic interests and learn effectively in the following years in college.

    During the Q&A session, the audience raised their questions about the difference between feature articles, dissertation and documentary filming, and other aspects of the FYP with the guest speakers, the program director, and other faculty in attendance.
