A lively and interesting Public Relations Communication Lecture opened on time at T7-103 on March 31, 2021. This lecture is sponsored by the PRA Faculty, and invited to Mindy Shen, the founder and general manager of Shanghai pH7 Communications Co., Ltd. She is a senior public relations professional with 15 years’ experience, aiming to bring you an impressive industry professional sharing.

After a brief introduction of herself and pH7 Communications Company, Mindy reviewed some common professional terms in public relations industry with the students, so as to help the non PRA students better understand the following contents of the lecture. Then, the lecture quickly got to the main topic. pH7’s brand planning cases immediately attracted the attention of the audience.

These cases not only show the students the avant-garde activity planning forms in the current industry, but also make everyone know the whole process of pre-event, in-event and post-event by the in-depth deconstruction of each case by pH7. As the planner of these activities, pH7 let students come to know that behind a successful activity, PR people need to pursue the details in the extreme, complete preparation for possible problems, and face challenges bravely.

Besides the sharing of wonderful and diverse case studies, Mindy also shared the activity planning workflow of a whole set of system summarized by herself to the students. From every step of brand creative output to the confirmation of every detail in the implementation of the events and to the summary after the completion of the activities, Mindy has presented it to the students one by one. Through some small stories in the work, we can feel the important role of these precise and detailed flow tables in a successful event.

In addition to sharing the professional content of PR communication, Mindy shared her belief as a PR specialist with us. She hopes to do every case well, but also pass on some good values and ideas to the society and the public through holding these events. Mindy said: “We need something that can be passed on and share with you a Chinese traditional sentence I read recently-Stratagem in the open can go further than conspiracy."

After the lecture, the students were still in a state of mind, surrounding Mindy in the lecture theatre, and asking her for advice. They discussed some specific problems encountered in the relevant courses such as learning activity planning. The atmosphere of the discussion was very heated.
