Mentor Caring Program (MCP)
I. Introduction and Objectives
Our school is committed to providing a robust support system for students and enhancing the effectiveness of faculty mentorship. To this end, we have launched the Mentor Caring Program (MCP), which is integrated with the Academic Advisors Program (AAP). This integration is based on clearly defined roles and responsibilities, ensuring an efficient allocation of resources. The program aims to improve the student learning experience, foster faculty professional development, and ultimately advance the overall quality of our education.
II. Structure
The MCP is designed to ensure a balanced allocation of mentorship resources by defining the roles and responsibilities of various mentors. This ensures every student receives personalized and effective guidance. The structure of the program includes:
1. Academic Mentors: These individuals focus primarily on scholastic guidance and academic advising.
2. Mentors: They are tasked with quotidian management and holistic support of students.
3. Faculty Coordinators of Student Affairs: These professionals serve as the overarching coordinators at the Faculty level and function as the primary point of contact for complex cases necessitating specialized intervention.
4. Peer Mentors: Their role is to facilitate the acclimatization of first-year students to the campus milieu.
