On December 6 and 7, 2017, senior students of PRA took "Internship" as the theme and brought us two sharing sessions full of experience.

In this internship sharing meeting, seniors shared with us their internship experiences in large international 4A public relations companies, advertising companies, traditional media and marketing departments of some large enterprises. While sharing vivid cases, they also shared their experiences and insights in the internship process with PRA students one by one. Not only that, seniors also gave advanced tips for "how to find the internship company you like", which points out the way for PRAer who need internship in the future.

There are various types of companies for senior students to practice in this year. Besides the famous international 4A public relations advertising companies such as Ogilvy Advertising, Ruderfin PR, Weber Shandwick, etc., their internship also included large-scale traditional media in China, such as Nanfang Daily Nespaper, Beijing TV Station, etc., as well as large-scale enterprises such as Hainan Airlines and China Railway Co., Ltd. The internship positions varied from copywriting to customer execution to new media operation.

In the sharing meeting on 6^th December, the seniors working as interns in public relations companies showed us their whole internship work contents with actual cases. First, they introduced the routine work of PR, including making newspaper clippings, collecting media exposure and topics, and writing press releases; Wechat Weibo manuscript; Report (annual, summary, competitive product analysis, case analysis, etc.). Next, they also introduced in detail the specific workflow when receiving the cooperation project:

Early stage: follow up suppliers, sign simple contract and draw up budget

Medium term: site arrangement and personnel coordination

Activity Day: media reception, on-site follow-up

Later stage: follow up activity news, activity detailed report

At the same time, seniors also reminded us that when we find a good internship company, we must work hard in advance to study and master some interview skills.

1. Emphasis on the special background of the school: all-in-English teaching, UIC English advantage

2. Highlight the proficiency of professional tools: like Microsoft software; Admango, H5, etc.

3. Emphasize the attribute of "good child": express willingness to obey the company's arrangement in the interview, but also have a little own opinions

4. Emphasize the love for the company culture and the desire for learning: need to know the company's culture in advance; talk about you are willing to continue learning to improve yourselves.

Finally, through the feedback from the senior staff of the internship units, the seniors also conveyed to PRAer the expectations of the industry for the new graduates and pointed out the direction for our future goals.

The two sessions of "Internship sharing meeting" ended unconsciously. Thank you very much for the "Internship sharing meeting" carefully prepared by the seniors. In the process of sharing, we talked about many experiences they had personally experienced through their own internship and in-depth contact with the workplace, which gave us many assistance. At the same time, we hope that we can avoid chaos and confusion in the process of finding internship units.
