The International Development Office (IDO) at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) recently received exciting news from the Summer Program Committee at St. Antony's College, University of Oxford. Fourteen UIC students have been awarded the Distinguished Participant Scholarships and Certificates for their outstanding performance in the summer program, including Chen Yanying, a student from the Applied Translation Studies (ATS) programme.
According to the organizers, the program welcomed over 400 students from around the globe. Out of these, more than 60 students were recognized for their excellent academic achievements at their home institutions and their remarkable performance during the summer courses at St. Antony's College. Among all participating universities in China, UIC had the highest number of scholarship recipients.
The competition for this scholarship was particularly fierce, with students from China's most prestigious universities, including Tsinghua University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and the University of Science and Technology of China. This achievement shows the global competitiveness of UIC students and highlights the high quality and international acclaim of the university’s overseas education programs.
This accolade not only recognizes Yanying’s individual efforts and academic excellence but also serves as a testament to the high-quality teaching and global impact of the ATS program.
