When I first enrolled in this major, as a freshman, what the professor said was still kept in my mind, “consider carefully and figure out whether or not to stay here. Probably you will regret it later.” Being a journalist student for four years, I can tell myself determinedly that I don't regret it. Before I join International journalism at UIC, I have always been a person without direction or a clear goal. My biggest gain in college is to find the direction that I am willing to struggle for.

The reason why I chose to study Journalism is because I think it is a useful subject. By writing news articles I can not only spread in-time information but also reveal some truth to readers. I believe this is why most students choose this subject.
